AR-15 Basics

The AR-15 Basics Course is designed familiarize you with the history of the AR-15 as well as the following;

AR15 Semi-Automatic Rifle1. Nomenclature

2. Operational principle

3. Maintenance of your rifle

4. Basic Disassembly and Reassembly

5. Function checks

5. Choosing proper ammunition

6. Adding accessories

7. How to shoot and take action in the event of a failure

8. Site picture with iron sights and optical sites.

9. Live Fire course

The class will consist of 2 hours of classroom time and approximately 1 hour on the range.

Students will need to bring the following items:

1. Eye protection. You will not be allowed on the firing line without eye protection. If you do not have proper eye protection, you must inform the instructors before leaving the class to go to the range. Eye protection can be provided for you at a small fee.

2. Hearing Protection. You will not be allowed on the firing line without hearing protection. If you do not have proper hearing protection, you must inform the instructors before leaving the class to go to the range. We will have disposable hearing protection for sale for a small fee.

3. AR-15 Rifle

4. 50 Rounds of ammunition

 

You must be at least 18 years of age to attend this course.
